PILOT / DEMO PLANT




LN Indtech Services Pvt. Ltd. executed the end-to-end design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of a multipurpose hydrometallurgical pilot plant for the processing of 100 kg/day of black mass obtained from spent Lithium-Ion batteries.
The pilot plant was engineered to facilitate selective leaching, purification, and recovery of strategically important metals including Lithium (Li), Manganese (Mn), Cobalt (Co), Nickel (Ni), and Copper (Cu). The system incorporates modular process units to support process development, parameter optimization, and scale-up studies for commercial battery recycling applications.
Key process capabilities include controlled leaching operations, solid-liquid separation, solution purification, and metal recovery stages, enabling high process flexibility for different battery chemistries. The plant layout and equipment selection were optimized to ensure operational safety, material compatibility, process efficiency, and environmental compliance.
This project demonstrates LN Indtech’s technical expertise in hydrometallurgical process engineering, pilot-scale plant design, custom fabrication, and turnkey project execution, contributing to sustainable resource recovery and circular economy initiatives within the Lithium-Ion battery recycling sector.
